This scrolling marque is not compatible with Netscape

The next example is not compatible with any Internet Explorer...

I can see some great possibilities with this one, building faces or images for kids' pages, etc. Download the source code at that page and play with it. I am not going to advise anyone, your creative juices must come from yourself.

Larger than Aunt Bertha, (Sorry Auntie)

Webpages obviously made for 17inch (large) monitors are really irksome, not only do the pages and images not fit most monitors , these webmasters are ignoring most computer screens (4 out of 5 people surf using 14 inch monitors). Also affecting the view of your website is the resolution, a resolution of 800x600 or greater will "magnify" the page size for anyone looking at a 640x480 monitor, and unfortunately, 50% of surfers are set at this resolution. Some of the older monitors, even up to 3 years ago, were only capable of this res. Mind you, price is also a consideration and I'm afraid that poorer people are being ignored again. A high res monitor costs alot more.
Take a ruler and measure from bottom left corner to upper right corner of the browser on your screen, if larger than 14 inches (30 cm) then shrink your browser to that size and see how the page is displayed. Then go into your screen settings and set at 640x480 res. Now surf the web for awhile or leave things as they are and go to example 1.It is extremely frustrating for most of our surfers to use the horizontal scrollbar back and forth to read every sentence. We already have to scroll the vertical, we have enough to contend with. The usual cause of extremely wide pages is the placing of images side by side by side, ad infinitum. My horrible example is done by making a banner grossly too wide for even a 17 inch screen running at the highest res possible.
I will use my own pages (mangled) for examples
